The main objectives of the training course were:

The overall objective of the proposed workshop is to increase the knowledge of different Egyptian communities members (Researcher, Farms, agriculture high school and undergraduate college students, civil society groups etc.) through managing and developing aquaculture activities, specially for intensifying production from available water resources, with recirculation water system as an environmentally sustainable and economically feasible aquaculture by access to an integrated recirculation Aquaculture and hydroponics system facilities in NIOF. Additionally, teach the participants the know-how integrated bio-systems with vocational agriculture programs, to help them establish, enhance and stimulate private investments for future aquaculture projects.Aquaponics is an inventive form of closed-system aquaculture, combines hydro-ponics and aquaculture – water based gardening and fish cultivation.
